The publisher's decision to present 54–76 texts in a single 'complete' collection without canonical distinctions or critical introductions risks implicitly elevating non-canonical and pseudepigraphal texts to a status they do not hold in Protestant (or even Catholic) tradition; readers should be cautioned that these texts are of varying historical, literary, and theological value and are not Scripture. The LSV translation methodology is generally conservative and literal, which is a strength for the canonical-adjacent texts included.
